Asthma is a very serious condition where a person struggles to breath. Asthma occurs when the bronchial tubes that carry air in and through the lungs are too sensitive to dust, pollen, pollutants or changes in weather. When the airways are irritated, they constrict and the inner linings swell, narrowing the passageway for air.
There are many reasons for asthma including allergy and environmental causes, and the nervous system is directly involved in asthma. In almost every case, there is a curving or twisting of the spine that can produce a pressure in the spinal cord and nerves. If less than 100% of the nerve energy from the brain is reaching the lungs, the lungs may still function, but with reduced effectiveness.
Natural Chiropractic care uses a simple procedure to reduce the pressure on the nerves to the lungs and improve waste elimination, another cause for asthma. If one of the elimination organs (skin, lungs, mucous membranes, kidneys, and bowels) besides the lungs is failing to do its share of elimination, the lungs may be asked to do more than its share, causing fluid build up or mucous congestion, resulting in asthmatic symptoms.
